This is well written and worth the read. Too often it seems like we have no choice when it comes to government, but contrary to what most believe, we have all the choice (and the power).
I am a citizen of the United States of America. Our Constitution guarantees me certain rights that no one, not the government, not the military, nor the President can take away from me.
Thanks to the First Amendment, I can say whatever I wish so long as it is true and does not cause harm to others. I can attend any church I wish, or not attend any at all. I can assemble peacefully with others. Thanks to the 19th Amendment, I can vote for my representative in Congress, my Senators, and for the President.
In your Inaugural speech, you said that “We are transferring power from Washington, D. C. and giving it back to you, the people.” While it became apparent during your campaign that your knowledge of the Constitution and how our government works were limited, at best, this statement only substantiates it.
